• Access to the Pico do Areeiro – Pico Ruivo (PR1) trail now requires a mandatory fee and pre-scheduled time slot for all non-residents.
• Please ensure you register and pay in advance (or ask us to do it for you) to avoid being denied entry at the trailhead. Please register ONLY for the 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM time slots. Later slots might force you to wait at the checkpoint, and you might miss your return pickup time. Please let us know if you managed to book.
